The waiting is the hardest part. After the initial excitment of booking and planning your Disney vacation starts to wear off, waiting for your trip to begin can be brutal. I have found that the best way to get through the long, slow days leading up to your departure is to pack. Disney packing is an activity that can keep you occupied for months. Yes, I will start packing months before a Disney vacation. It’s not necessary but it is oh so much fun that there really is no reason to wait! Let’s get started!Â

Luggage
What better way to get pumped up for your Walt Disney World vacation than stuffing your Disney suitcases with all of your vacation essentials!! The anticipation of a trip is half of the fun. Why wait till you get to the parks to hang out with your favorite characters? Start at home with all of this cute luggage from shopDisney.Â
Cute Outfits
Yes, cute outfits are essential for having a great vacation, in my opinion 🙂 But, having cute and comfortable clothing should be your goal. Especially when you are dealing with the unpredictable weather in Florida. Here are some cute, comfy and fun options for the whole family. You could even coordinate your family’s outfits each day! Dress everyone is the Fab 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto) for your Magic Kingdom day, Toy Story or Star Wars outfits for Hollywood Studios…..you get the idea. Have fun with it!Â
Let the little ones dress as their favorite Disney character. This will make all of your photos just a little more magical!
Swim Essentials
Getting in some time at the pool is a great way to take a little break from the parks. We usually plan a whole day for hanging out at our resort and lounging around by the pool. Beach towels, sunglasses and flip flops are fun items to give your kids as gifts leading up to your Disney vacation.
A little out-of-this-world Star Wars styling for playing cool around the pool on any planet.Â
Your little lady is sure to have fun when she rocks the dots with Minnie Mouse.Â
Hats
The Florida sun can be brutal. A fashionable hat is great for keeping it out of your eyes. They also protect bald little baby heads and not so little bald man heads from getting burnt. PRO TIP–hats are a great item to use for character signatures! They are easy to carry around and cool to wear when you get back home.
A Good Park Bag
This probably should have been at the top of the list. A good bag for carrying around all of your necessities while in the parks is essential. It has to but comfortable, roomy and easily accessible. Oh, and, cute of course! I prefer backpacks. They give you plenty of room and are easy to haul around. Don’t want to carry around a backpack in the heat? Make all of your kids wear their own fanny packs. Go ahead, throw your stuff in there too 😉
