Updated 11/21
Disney World continues to update its face mask policy in accordance with CDC guidelines and the current COVID positivity rate in Orange County. At this time, face masks are required while indoors on Disney property. This includes rides, restaurants, shops, resorts, and on Disney transportation. It can be a little tricky to know if masks are required for rides that are “outside”. If part of the queue (line) is inside you will need to wear a mask and keep it on during the ride. If you are not sure, ask a cast member. If you are not wearing a face mask in an area where they are required cast members will instruct you to put one on. Please be kind and follow their instruction. They are just doing their job and you willingly went to a place that requires them in certain areas so, just be pleasant and put on your face mask.
I will continue to update this page as Disney face mask policies change.

All of the information below is from April of 2021. Disney face mask policies have been updated.
There has been a huge (in my opinion) change to the Disney Face Mask Policy. According to the Disney World website, as of April 8th, guests are now allowed to REMOVE their face coverings while actively, eating, drinking, OR taking an outdoor photo but you must be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing!!
This is the official policy from the Walt Disney World website –

This is such exciting news!! This is wonderful for capturing all of your magical memories. Personally, I did get the Memory Maker for our trip in March but I probably won’t be enlarging any of our picutres from this trip. The face covering are just too distracting for me.
The new policy update does open the door to eating and drinking while waiting in line outdoors. Currently you are not allowed to remove your face covering to eat or drink while in line. If social distancing can be maintained, it’s seems that this update would allow for that. I will keep you posted when clarifications are made. It is promising to see some progress towards a return to normal. ❤️
